My why
I've been a lot of places, collecting miles and passport stamps, all the while running away from self. My journey back to self began in 2014 when I prayed for a husband who could help me. I was admittedly weak (I liked a good party y'all a little too much lol) and knew intuitively that I could benefit from male guidance. My prayer was answered swiftly and more than what I asked for. I followed my husband and took up the spiritual path of the Tariqa Tijanniyyah and the transformation has been immense. The best part of my journey is that I was guided back to myself right in the city where I'm from by a Shaykh (spiritual guide) who knows and lives where I'm coming from.
I'm incredibly content with being a wife, mother, disciple, and student. However, I'm being compelled to share with other women what I've learned along the way. Much of what I share is grounded in the spiritual tradition so open to any woman looking to discover her true reality.
Things to know about me: I'm a huge fan of (Kemetic) yoga, running, nature getaways, dance parties, watching movies/tv with commentary, obsessed with YouTube channels lol. I created and ran a popular podcast, Identity Politics. If it's important to you, I have degrees too: graduated with honors from Wellesley College in Religion and a Master's in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity with a focus on women & gender.
